Scribente Maternum Writing Hour

This summer writing series for the Portland chapter of Scribente Maternum is a great way to take a moment from the busy summer activities and invest in you and your writing. You'll also have the bonus of connecting with other writer-moms. All moms who write (and those who support them, too) are invited to share in this experience. The bulk of the hour will be spent writing at Second Shapes in Kenton in North Portland (8124 N Denver Ave, Portland, OR 97217) and then anyone who is able can stay to chat over a pastry and coffee at one of Kenton's delightful coffeeshops.

Advanced registration is requested, but is not required; it allows us to know how much space to set up for the group.

These events are free. Your voluntary donation at checkout helps us amplify the voices of those writers who may not otherwise be able to attend our events. Thank you for your support!

About Us: Scribente Maternum is a powerful community of writers who identify as mothers. We each have our own stories and struggles, but we are all writers and we are all mothers. Our retreats and other events celebrate children and grandchildren as inspiration while also providing the distance so necessary to be creative.
